The intention of this program is to increase the social and emotional health of a child through a supportive friendship with an adult. They catch up once a week to enjoy each other's company, and will do so for a year at least. This program encourages child recommendations from participating schools who see the opportunity for extra development in a child with the support of a "Big Buddy". This website has got through to the finals in the interactive media and website design category.
